Are you pouring new concrete over an old concrete screed, repairing a column, beams, or floor slabs?
Without an adhesive layer, new concrete does not bond to the old one - cracks, chips, and delamination appear, and the reinforcement begins to corrode.
❌ The most common mistake during repairs is pouring new concrete or repair mix without an adhesion promoter.
In this video, we show the right solution for repairing and strengthening concrete structures — Tekno AD corrosion inhibitor and adhesion promoter.
Why doesn't new concrete hold on top of old concrete?
Old concrete has a closed porous structure and low adhesion. Without a special adhesion layer, new concrete works as a separate element. A “cold seam” forms at the point of contact, which over time leads to cracks, delamination and destruction of the surface.
Solution — Tekno AD Tekno AD creates a strong contact between old and new concrete, forming a solid monolith. At the same time, the material protects the reinforcement from moisture and further corrosion, which is critically important when repairing reinforced concrete.
Where Tekno AD adhesion promoter must be used:
✔️ repair and restoration of concrete structures
✔️ pouring concrete on concrete
✔️ reinforcement of columns, beams, stairs, floor slabs
✔️ work with exposed reinforcement
✔️ engineering structures: subways, tunnels, highways, dams
Advantages of using Tekno AD adhesive layer:
— high mechanical strength
— excellent adhesion to concrete and reinforcement
— protection of reinforcement from corrosion
— easy application
— safe and non-toxic
Technical specifications:
▪️ compressive strength — 65 N/mm²
▪️ bending strength — 8 N/mm²
▪️ adhesion to concrete — 2 N/mm²
The use of the Tekno AD adhesive layer allows you to obtain a strong connection, protection of reinforcement and a reliable concrete structure for years.
