Teknobond 400 D and 405 D epoxy adhesives have high adhesion to concrete, brick, stone, marble, metal, wood, glass, PVC and other materials. You can safely use this material for anchoring reinforcing bars and rebar, for filling joints and cracks. 

So, which glue to choose for sealing expansion, deformation and construction joints: Teknobond 400 D or Teknobond 405 D , taking into account the main characteristics of the materials:

  1. Surface preparation

    • Clean the seam from dust, dirt, and remnants of old materials;

    • If necessary, prime the base.
       

  2. Applying glue

    • Prepare the working solution by mixing the two components of Teknobond epoxy adhesive. Component B should be added to component A and mixed with a low-speed electric mixer (at a speed of approximately 350-400 rpm) for 2-3 minutes until a homogeneous working mixture is obtained.

  1. Tape fixation

    • To glue the Teknomer thermoplastic tape , apply the prepared mixture with a spatula on each side of the seam to a width of at least 5 cm.

    • We apply our tape and roll it with a polyurethane roller. At the moment of rolling, some of the glue comes out through the holes onto the outer surface of the tape. 

    • Apply the top layer of glue and smooth it with a spatula, securely sealing the tape inside the glue. As a result, you will get a sealed, strong and elastic seam, protected from moisture and destruction.
