Teknomer 600 2K is a two-component liquid waterproofing material based on polyurethane and bitumen with fast hardening. After application, it forms a seamless, highly elastic waterproofing membrane that adheres firmly to the substrate.
The material is intended for large-scale waterproofing works, terraces, foundations, underground structures, balconies, parking lots and other objects where reliable protection against water and moisture (pressure and non-pressure water pressure) is required.
Where is Teknomer 600 2K used?
The material is used for waterproofing:
-
foundations and underground parts of buildings;
-
retaining and foundation walls;
-
terraces and roofs;
-
balconies;
-
parking lots;
-
upper parts of bridge structures;
-
damp rooms;
-
structures where protection against moisture and water is required;
-
surfaces with a high risk of water accumulation;
-
for modification and renovation of old waterproofing coatings;
-
areas where resistance to root penetration is required. It has resistance to root penetration, which protects the structure from destruction.
Main advantages
Seamless waterproofing. After application, Teknomer 600 2K forms a continuous elastic waterproofing layer without joints and seams.
High elasticity. The material forms a superelastic membrane capable of working on structures undergoing deformation.
Excellent adhesion. Provides high adhesion even to difficult substrates.
Water resistance. Has high resistance to prolonged contact with water, including stagnant water.
Frost resistance. The coating is resistant to frost.
Chemical resistance. The material is resistant to detergents, oils, sea water and household chemicals.
Convenient application. Due to the working consistency, the material can be applied with a stiff brush or using spraying equipment.
Application features
The substrate before application must be solid, clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, oils, rust, detergents and other substances that may impair adhesion.
Cracks, sinkholes, cavities and weak areas of the base must be pre-repaired with appropriate Teknorep repair mixtures.
For concrete bases, the manufacturer recommends using the two-component epoxy primer TEKNOBOND 300 with a consumption of 0.20–0.40 kg/m². After the primer has completely dried, waterproofing can be applied after 4–48 hours.
Before mixing, component A must be stirred, then component B must be added. The components are mixed with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous mixture without lumps is obtained. The minimum mixing time is 3 minutes.
Teknomer 600 2K is recommended to be applied in two layers, with the second layer applied perpendicular to the first. The interval between layers is at least 5 hours.
If necessary, fiberglass can be used for additional reinforcement of the coating.
Importantly
Teknomer 600 2K is not resistant to ultraviolet radiation, therefore, after application, it must be protected with thermal insulation or protective plates, geotextiles or other suitable protective layer.
During application, the material must be protected from direct sunlight, air temperatures above +35 °C, rain and frost. Do not apply during rain.
The humidity of the substrate should not exceed 5%. The material is ready for use after mixing the components and does not require dilution. Foreign materials cannot be added to the working solution.
