Solvent Based Water Repellent Teknosil (10 l) Transparent

Teknosil  is a colorless, solvent-based water repellent for concrete, stone, brick and plaster to protect against water penetration.

Areas of application:

• For external use
• For work on vertical surfaces
• For slightly absorbent surfaces such as concrete, marble, granite, slate
• For absorbent surfaces such as brick, colored briquettes, aerated concrete, travertine, limestone.
• To protect historical artifacts from weathering.

Properties of the water repellent:

• Has high penetrating ability
• Colorless
• Protects the surface from environmental influences without forming a film
• Protects against alkalis and UV rays
• Vapor permeable
• Increases surface strength
• Contains solvent

Instruction:

• Before applying the material, clean the surface of any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
• If there are cracks or cavities on the surface, they must be closed using Teknorep cement mixtures . Teknosil should be applied 3-4 days after the cracks have been eliminated.
• Teknosil should be applied to a dry surface using a roller, brush or spray for maximum penetration.
• The second coat should be applied after approximately 4 hours.
• When applying water repellent to highly porous surfaces, a third layer should be applied to create maximum protection.

Notes:

• After application, the surface should be protected from adverse weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (more than + 35 °C), rain and frost.
• Tools and equipment used should be cleaned immediately after use.
• The material should not be used on PVC and metal surfaces.
• When working, it is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. In case of contact with eyes, immediately rinse eyes with warm water and consult a doctor.
