Teknoser Lityum is a low-viscosity liquid impregnation based on lithium silicate, designed to strengthen concrete and cement surfaces.
After application, the low-viscosity lithium silicate penetrates the porous structure of the concrete or screed. Insoluble crystals form inside the pores, making the surface layer denser and harder.
This allows the material to be used for comprehensive protection of concrete floors from surface wear, abrasion, dusting, and water penetration.
Teknoser Lityum can be used both for fresh concrete and screed, and for strengthening already formed cement surfaces, provided that the substrate is properly prepared.
Main advantages
-
penetrates deeply into the pores of concrete and cement screed;
-
strengthens the surface layer of concrete;
-
increases surface hardness;
-
increases resistance to abrasion and mechanical friction;
-
reduces water absorption;
-
dedusts;
-
prevents surface destruction at low temperatures;
-
prevents cracking and surface wear;
-
allows you to maintain the vapor permeability of the base - water vapor passes through the treated surface;
-
after application, does not require a finishing coat;
Where is it used?
Teknoser Lityum is designed to strengthen concrete surfaces both indoors and outdoors.
Main areas of application:
-
concrete floors;
-
cement screeds;
-
production facilities;
-
warehouses;
-
refrigeration chambers;
-
covered and open parking lots;
-
aircraft hangars;
-
helipads;
-
piers and other concrete surfaces.
The manufacturer specifies the minimum quality of the base: concrete - C20/25, cement screed - EN 13813 CT-C25-F4.
Causing
Before application, the substrate must be strong, firm, clean, dry. The surface must be cleaned of dust, plaster residues, oils, tire marks, paint and other contaminants that may prevent the penetration of the material.
Fresh concrete does not require special preparation, however, application is performed after sufficient surface setting and in the absence of a layer of standing water.
Teknoser Lityum is applied with a roller, brush, or spray in one even layer, avoiding puddles and accumulation of material.
At high ambient temperatures, the surface should be well moistened, but without standing water.
Important limitations
Do not apply Teknoser Lityum to frozen, contaminated or wet surfaces.
Do not use a chemical vapor barrier process prior to application. The manufacturer also does not recommend using acidic cleaning agents to clean the treated surface.
The material consumption depends on the smoothness and absorbency of the substrate.
Tools must be rinsed with water immediately after application.
