Teknobond 400 is a high-strength, two-component structural adhesive and thixotropic repair mortar based on epoxy resin. It is specially designed for vertical, horizontal, and overhead applications for the installation of anchors and reinforcement, as well as for leveling and repairing concrete elements.
Main Advantages and Properties
-
Easy to use: convenient thixotropic consistency that does not sag from vertical and overhead surfaces.
-
Rapid strength development: provides fast and reliable bonding.
-
Water and gas impermeability: provides complete protection of the connection against moisture and gas penetration.
-
Chemical and wear resistance: resistant to aggressive environmental conditions and mechanical abrasion.
-
Excellent adhesion: has a non-shrink structure and excellent adhesion to concrete, steel, stone, and other materials.
-
Solvent-free: environmentally safe material without added solvents.
Areas of Application
-
Bonding and anchoring: installation of embedded reinforcement, reinforcing bar extensions, and anchor bolts into concrete and other strong substrates.
-
Structural repair: filling and repairing large cracks and chips, and leveling concrete surfaces.
-
Installation and bonding: reliable bonding of metal and steel elements, tiles, granite, and other materials to concrete or steel.
-
Crack sealing: fixing injection packers and sealing cracks externally during injection works.
-
Special installation: fixing fencing elements and seismic dampers on bridges, viaducts, and complex structures.

Material consumption: for example, anchoring 16 mm diameter ribbed reinforcement into a 20 mm diameter hole requires approximately 0.100 kg of ready-mixed material.
Application Instructions
1. Surface Preparation
-
The surface must be dry, sound, clean, and free from dust, oils, rust, cement laitance, and loose particles.
-
Concrete compressive strength must be at least 25 N/mm², while pull-off strength must be at least 1.5 N/mm².
-
The diameter of the holes for reinforcement must be at least 4 mm larger than the diameter of the reinforcement itself.
-
The holes must be thoroughly cleaned with compressed air to remove dust, water, and debris. Reinforcing bars must be ribbed, dry, degreased, and free from rust.
2. Mixing
-
Add component B to component A.
-
Mix with a low-speed electric mixer (up to 400 RPM) for 2–3 minutes until a completely homogeneous grey color is obtained.
3. Application and Anchoring
-
Fill the prepared hole with the ready-mixed material and also apply the material to the reinforcement bar itself.
-
Slowly insert the bar into the hole while rotating it. If necessary, use a hammer to ensure complete insertion.
-
The following day, manually check the quality of the fixing. For critical strengthening works, pull-out tests using specialized equipment are recommended.
Warnings and Limitations
-
Temperature conditions: do not apply at temperatures below +5°C.
-
Dilution: the product does not contain solvents and must not be diluted with solvents or water.
-
Application in hot weather: in hot weather, mix the material in small batches because the pot life of the mixture is significantly reduced.
-
Cleaning: tools and spilled material can be cleaned with a special solvent (for example, Tekno Clean Thinner) before hardening.
-
Safety precautions: always use protective rubber gloves and goggles. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately.
