Teknoplate S carbon fiber tape

Teknoplate S  is a unidirectional, solid (linear) standard-sized carbon fiber tape, impregnated with epoxy resin and frozen.

Surface quality

• The surface must be dry and free from any type of dust, dirt, loose and loose particles, cement mortar residues, oil and grease. 
• The concrete base must be clean, strong and have sufficient compressive strength (minimum 25 N/mm²) and tensile strength (tear-off) must be at least 1.5 N/mm². 
• Concrete must be strong and have sufficient strength.

Surface preparation

• The application surface should be cleaned with compressed air, etc. to ensure maximum bond strength. 
• Weak concrete parts should be removed and repaired with a high-strength repair mortar and restored to their original condition. 
• The part of TEKNOPLATE that will be glued to the concrete is lightly wiped with Tekno Thinner. There should be no moisture left on the tape.

Application method

• The prepared adhesive mixture is applied to both concrete and TEKNOPLATE using a spatula. 
• When applied, TEKNOPLATE shrinks for a while and then adheres in such a way as to leave no air gap. 
• For good adhesion, a flat roller should be used over the tape. Any remaining epoxy adhesive should be removed immediately. 
• Carbon fibers do not burn, but epoxy resin can catch fire after a certain temperature. For this reason, after applying a very thin layer of epoxy resin to the carbon plate, it is sprinkled with dry sand and plastered. The sand provides adhesion between the carbon plate and the plaster.

Notes on application/limitations

1. The material acts only in the direction of the length of the fiber. It has no lateral strength.
2. The product may cause skin irritation. Protective gloves, a mask and goggles must be worn. You can apply a protective cream to your hands before starting work. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with warm water and consult a doctor.
3. Immediately after application, before curing; Tools should be cleaned with Tekna Thinner. Cured epoxy can only be cleaned mechanically.
