Teknomer 640 is a two-component polyurea (polyurea) for cold manual application, which forms a highly elastic seamless waterproofing membrane and reliably protects building structures from water penetration, precipitation and aggressive environmental influences.
Unlike classic hot polyurea, which requires expensive high-pressure equipment, Teknomer 640 is applied with a conventional roller, brush or spray method, which significantly simplifies waterproofing work and reduces its cost.
After polymerization, the material forms a continuous, seamless, elastic membrane that perfectly bridges cracks, has no joints, and provides long-term protection even in areas of constant contact with water. The material demonstrates high resistance to stagnant water, salts, alkalis, diluted acids, and sulfates.

Instructions for use
Preparing the base
The substrate must be solid, even, dry and free of dust, dirt, oils, grease, rust, formwork grease residues, detergents and other substances that may impair adhesion.
Before application, you must:
-
remove all weak and flaking areas of concrete;
-
repair cracks, sinkholes and irregularities with TEKNOREP 300 repair compound;
-
Allow the repaired base to cure for at least 7 days before applying waterproofing.
Preparation of expansion joints
Before applying Teknomer 640, all expansion, construction and connection joints must be sealed using TEKNOMER elastic tape and TEKNOBOND 400 D epoxy adhesive.
It is also recommended to pre-seal:

drain funnels;
-
gutters;
-
pipe passages;
-
junctions and other potentially problematic areas.
After applying waterproofing, it will be much more difficult to perform high-quality sealing of such nodes.
Surface priming
Before applying polyurea, the surface must be primed with a two-component epoxy primer:

TEKNOBOND 120;
-
TEKNOBOND 300;
-
TEKNOBOND 300 PRO;
-
TEKNOBOND 310.
The primer is applied with a brush or roller at a consumption of 150–300 g/m², depending on the porosity and absorbency of the substrate.
Before applying Teknomer 640, make sure that the primer has completely hardened.
Waiting time after priming:
-
minimum — 4 hours;
-
maximum — 24 years.
Preparing the mixture
-
Stir component A separately before mixing.
-
Add component B to component A.
-
Mix with a low-speed mixer (up to 300–500 rpm) for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous mass is obtained, without lumps and unmixed areas.
Do not add water, solvents or any foreign components.
Causing
The finished material is applied:
-
a brush with stiff bristles;
-
roller;
-
by airless spraying method.
After the first layer has hardened, the second layer is applied perpendicular to the previous one.
Interval between layers:
-
minimum - 6 hours;
-
maximum — 24 years.
To obtain a durable seamless polyurea membrane, it is necessary to adhere to the recommended material consumption and application technology.
