Teknobond 450 is a thixotropic repair mortar based on epoxy resin, consisting of 3 components, including a specially selected quartz aggregate. The material is designed for durable repair of concrete and reinforced concrete structures, including vertical and overhead surfaces.
After mixing the components, Teknobond 450 forms a plastic repair compound that can be easily applied with a spatula or trowel and provides high adhesion to concrete. The material is characterized by rapid development of mechanical strength, high resistance to abrasion, impact loads, temperature changes, and freeze-thaw cycles.
Main Advantages of Teknobond 450
-
3-component epoxy repair compound with quartz aggregate;
-
high adhesion to concrete surfaces;
-
suitable for application on vertical and overhead surfaces;

-
long pot life;
-
suitable for thick-layer repairs with layer-by-layer application;
-
suitable for interior and exterior applications;
-
solvent-free.
Areas of Application
Teknobond 450 is used for structural and non-structural repair of concrete and reinforced concrete structures where high strength, wear resistance, and resistance to moisture and chemicals are required.
The material is recommended for:
-
repairing damaged concrete;
-
repairing vertical and overhead surfaces;
-
repairing the underside of concrete structures and slabs;
-
repairing precast concrete elements;
-
repairing reinforced concrete structures;
-
filling voids, chips, localized damage, and cavities;
-
repairing concrete areas damaged by abrasive wear;
-
repairing bridge and highway structures;
-
repairing concrete elements subjected to significant mechanical loads;
-
areas requiring chemical resistance or impermeability to water, oils, and fuel.
Teknobond 450 can be used for both interior and exterior applications.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, oils, grease, residues of old coatings, and other contaminants.
The concrete surface must be properly prepared for application of the repair compound and must be free from weak or delaminated areas.
If an old concrete surface is contaminated with oil or grease, appropriate cleaning must be carried out, for example using steam and a suitable detergent.
Metal surfaces and reinforcement must be cleaned of rust, in particular by sandblasting. If necessary, damaged reinforcement should be repaired or replaced.
Mixing
Teknobond 450 consists of components A, B, and C.
First, components A and B must be thoroughly mixed with a mechanical mixer at 400–600 RPM in a clean container until a uniform color and consistency are achieved.
Then gradually add Component C — quartz aggregate, while continuing to mix.
Do not overmix the material, as this may negatively affect its workability.
Mixing ratio by weight:
A : B : C = 1 : 1 : 1.2
The material must be mixed using a suitable mechanical mixer. Do not mix manually with a spatula or trowel.
Application Method
Ready-mixed Teknobond 450 is applied to the prepared surface using a spatula or trowel. In some cases, the material can be manually pressed and shaped directly into the repair area.
The maximum thickness of a single layer is up to 80 mm.
If a thicker repair layer is required, the material should be applied in layers. Before applying the subsequent layer, allow the previous layer to reach its initial set — approximately 6 hours.
During application, the repair compound must be properly compacted to ensure complete filling of the repair area. The surface is then finished with a trowel.

Important Recommendations
Teknobond 450 should be applied at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Do not apply the material to frozen surfaces, surfaces at risk of freezing within the following 24 hours, or areas exposed to direct strong sunlight or wind.
The prepared mixture must be used within approximately 30 minutes at +20 °C. The working time and curing rate of the epoxy material depend on temperature.
Do not dilute Teknobond 450 with solvents and do not add any additional components not specified in the application instructions.
After application, the repaired surface should be protected from contact with water and other influences that may interfere with the curing process for 24 hours.
Storage
Store Teknobond 450 in a cool, dry place protected from frost. Shelf life is 12 months when stored under the recommended conditions.
During application, appropriate personal protective equipment must be used, including gloves, protective goggles, a mask, and suitable protective clothing. Work areas must be well ventilated.
