Teknoplate HS is an epoxy-impregnated, frozen unidirectional solid (linear) carbon fiber.
Areas of use
Features and benefits
- Very easy and quick to apply, and the probability of errors is very low
- Sold in 100 meter ready-made rolls
- It can be cut as needed with tin snips or a spiral.
- It is very light and does not increase the cross-section, as it is very thin.
- Has very high tensile strength
- Very high modulus of elasticity
- Excellent resistance to chemicals
- Has excellent fatigue strength.
Application Instructions
Surface Quality:
Surface preparation:
- The application surface must be cleaned with compressed air (etc.) to ensure maximum adhesion strength.
- Weak concrete parts should be removed and repaired with a high-strength repair mortar and restored to their original condition.
- The part of TEKNOPLATE that will be glued to the concrete is lightly wiped with Tekno Thinner. There should be no dirt or moisture left on the surface of the tape.
How to use:
- The prepared adhesive mixture is applied to the concrete and the TEKNOPLATE tape using a spatula. When using TEKNOPLATE (carbon plate), the material shrinks for a while and then bonds in such a way as to leave no air gap.
- The carbon fiber surface should be rolled over to ensure good adhesion. Any protruding adhesive residue should be cleaned immediately.
- Carbon fibers do not burn, but epoxy resin (glue) can catch fire after a certain temperature. For this reason, after applying a very thin layer of epoxy resin to the carbon plate, it is sprinkled with dry sand and plastered. The sprinkled sand provides adhesion between the carbon plate and the applied plaster.
