Teknomer 600 1K one-component polyurethane waterproofing for roofs, terraces, balconies and foundations, 20 kg

Teknomer 600 1K is a professional, one-component polyurethane waterproofing, ready to use, which polymerizes upon contact with air moisture, forming a seamless, elastic and durable waterproof membrane.

The material is highly resistant to ultraviolet radiation, precipitation, frost and constant exposure to water. Due to its high elasticity, the coating bridges cracks in the base and provides long-term protection of structures from moisture penetration.

Teknomer 600 1K is widely used for waterproofing concrete, metal, wooden and other building surfaces in both private and industrial construction.

Scope of application

Teknomer 600 1K is recommended for waterproofing:

• terrace;

• flat and pitched roofs;

• balconies;

• gutters;

• bathrooms and toilets (under tiles);

• foundations;

• foundation walls;

• concrete structures;

• building facades;

• flower gardens;

• metal surfaces;

• wooden structures (after trial application).

Application method

1. Surface preparation

The base must be strong, dry, clean, free of dust, oil, paint residue, cement laitance, rust and other contaminants.

All defects, sinks and cracks must be repaired with Teknorep repair compounds. It is recommended to pre-seal expansion joints with Teknomer tapes together with Teknobond 400D glue.

2. Priming

For concrete surfaces, it is recommended to use Teknobond 300 epoxy primer with a consumption of approximately 0.20–0.40 kg/m².

After the primer has dried, the surface must be weathered:

• at least 4 hours;

• maximum 24 hours before applying waterproofing.

3. Application

Mix the material thoroughly before use.

Applied:

• roller;

• with a stiff brush;

• airless sprayer.

It is recommended to apply in two layers.

The second layer is applied perpendicular to the first (no earlier than after 1 hour or after the absence of stickiness).

If necessary, reinforcing fiberglass can be laid between the layers.

Cost

The average consumption is:

1.20–1.50 kg/m²

(depending on the roughness and absorbency of the surface).

Recommendations

Not recommended:

• apply during rain;

• dilute with water;

• add third-party components;

• apply at temperatures below +5°C;

• leave fresh coating without protection from rain until completely cured.
