HYDROFLEX 40 MS is a universal general purpose adhesive sealant based on AST polymer. It combines the properties of both silicone and polyurethane, making it the optimal choice for a variety of materials, including: aluminum, granite, ceramics, marble, porcelain, metals, PVC, glass, wood, porous surfaces (concrete, brick, limestone, etc.).
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Contains no solvents, silicones or isocyanates, very low VOC content.
• No blistering even in humid and damp conditions.
• Very high UV resistance.
• Can be painted with water-based paints.
• No shrinkage.
• Does not cause oil stains on panels and porous materials.
• Does not slip, very easy to apply.
• Does not leave a sticky residue on the surface.
INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure that the surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and free of grease. A preliminary compatibility test is recommended. The application temperature should be between +5 °C and +40 °C.
Seam dimensions:
• Minimum width x minimum depth: 5 mm x 5 mm
• Recommendation: width = 2 x depth
- The seam must be leveled with a spatula within 5 minutes after application to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate.
- To obtain precise or clean seam lines, use masking tape. Remove the tape immediately after applying the product.
- Excess sealant can be removed from tools and surfaces before it hardens with a solvent. Once hardened, the material can be removed mechanically.
LIMITATION
Should not be used in completely enclosed spaces where the sealant cannot cure due to lack of atmospheric moisture. Can be applied directly to various types of substrates. In case of doubt, a preliminary compatibility test is recommended.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
Sealing and bonding in the following areas:
Window and door perimeter
• General sealing and waterproofing
• Roofing and gutters
• Concrete joints
• Metal building structures
• Ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
STORAGE
The products must be protected from water, frost and adverse environmental conditions. They should be stored in a dry and cool place on wooden pallets at a temperature of +5 °C to +25 °C in conditions free from moisture. Opened products should be consumed immediately. The shelf life is a maximum of 12 months if the above storage conditions are met.
SAFETY AND DISPOSAL
For information and advice on the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemical products, users should refer to the most recent Material Safety Data Sheet, which contains physical, ecological, toxicological and other safety-related data.
