Teknofay 200 is a ready-to-use dispersion adhesive based on emulsion polymers for laying ceramic tiles, tiles and glass mosaics. The material has high adhesion strength to the substrate, increased open time and resistance to slipping, making it especially suitable for cladding vertical surfaces.
Unlike dry cement mixtures, Teknofay 200 does not need to be mixed with water - the adhesive is supplied in a ready-made paste form. It is enough to mix it before application. This simplifies the work, saves time and allows you to immediately proceed to the installation of tiles.
Using
Teknofay 200 paste adhesive can be used for gluing:

tiles on wooden surfaces;

tiles on gypsum and plastered walls;

The ability to glue ceramics to existing cladding makes Teknofay 200 a practical solution for renovation work when it is necessary to renew the surface without completely dismantling the old tiles - provided that the base meets the manufacturer's requirements.

Glue consumption
The approximate consumption of Teknofay 200 is 2–4 kg/m². The actual amount of material depends on the condition and evenness of the substrate, the format of the cladding, the method of application and the notched trowel used.
Surface preparation
The substrate before gluing the tiles must be solid, dry, clean, flat and free from dust. It is necessary to remove oils, grease, rust and other contaminants that can reduce the adhesion of the adhesive.
There should be no weak or loose particles on the surface. The manufacturer recommends that cracks and damage to the substrate be repaired beforehand with appropriate repair materials.
Causing
The material must be mixed before use.
First, the glue is applied to the prepared base with the smooth side of the spatula, then it is distributed with the serrated side in one direction until an even layer is obtained.
The adhesive should be applied to an area that can be tiled within its 30-minute open time. For tiles of varying thickness, a rubber mallet may be used during installation.
You can check the suitability of the applied adhesive for installation by touch: if the material transfers to your fingers, installation can be continued. If the adhesive no longer leaves traces, the open time has passed - such a layer must be removed and fresh material applied.
Conditions of use and storage
It is recommended to carry out the work within the temperature limits specified by the manufacturer. The material should not be applied in adverse weather conditions. The tool must be cleaned with water immediately after completion of the work; hardened material is removed mechanically.
Teknofay 200 must be stored in a closed original packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and freezing. According to the manufacturer's technical data sheet, the recommended storage temperature is from +5 to +23 °C, the shelf life in undamaged factory packaging is 12 months from the date of production.
